Listen, I think LeBron James is the greatest basketball player we’ve ever seen.
But man, some of the things that come out of this dude’s mouth are pretty cringe.
On HBO’s latest episode of “The Shop”, LeBron said the following when a conversation struck around national anthem protests in the NFL.
“In the NFL they got a bunch of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality,” James said. “And it’s like, ‘This is my team. You do what the f— I tell y’all to do. Or we get rid of y’all.’”
As Fox Sports’ Clay Travis pointed out this morning, this is the same guy who’s Nike shoes are made by workers overseas. How much are they paid? An average of 25 cents an hour.
That’s REAL slave mentality, King.
Forget about athletes who are paid millions of dollars by these evil white guys.
But, I’m honestly not surprised that LeBron has taken this stance. He has a history of bad political/social stances.
He publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016 at an Ohio Rally. Remember when Hillary called the African-American youth “super-predators”, LeBron?
This is also the same guy who questioned the education of voters when Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election by…yikes…
“I don’t think a lot of people was educated.” -LeBron James in 2017
Nice grammar, King.
