We’re now only one sleep away from finding out who will advance to Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta.
After a good week of crunching the numbers and looking at spreadsheets, I’ve found the best bets.
Let’s get to it, shall we?
Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints
The last time these two teams played one another, the Saints edged out the Rams 45-35 in a high-scoring shootout.
Right off the bat, taking the over (56.5) looks tasty. Two great offenses, plus the over has hit in the last four NFC Championship games.
The Saints have won seven playoff games in a row, and that crowd gets crazy loud when it matters. Just ask Nick Foles and the Eagles how they fared last Sunday in crunch-time.
The Saints also possess the second-best rush defense in the league, so Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson probably won’t be as effective on the ground as they were last week against the Cowboys.
Take the more experienced duo of Brees and Payton over Goff and McVay.
Parlay Saints moneyline and the over.
New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs
Brady vs Mahomes. Passing of the torch game?
Not quite yet.
Mahomes has struggled in the cold. These QBR numbers…yikes!
Meanwhile, Brady is seemingly at his best in these elements. Hell, the Pats dynasty started in the snow during the ‘Tuck Rule’ game!
The Pats should be able to dominate time of possession by exploiting the Chiefs worst run-D by utilizing both James White and Sony Michel in the backfield.
My heart wants to take Brady and the moneyline, but the smart money points towards taking the Pats +3 in this one (Chiefs offense obviously still scares me).
Enjoy the games, folks!
