Eric Reid re-signs with the Carolina Panthers

Today the Panthers re-signed safety Eric Reid to a three-year contract worth more than 22 million.

Reid appeared in 13 games for Carolina last year, making 50 tackles, with one interception and a sack.

The former Pro-Bowler is well known for kneeling during the national anthem, and is probably the second most influential player protestor behind Colin Kaepernick.

When Reid was an un-signed free agent in 2017, he filed a grievance charge against the league, alleging that the league, its owners, and President Trump colluded to prevent him from signing with a team.
