Rising Stars Challenge
I am taking the World team here. They’re not quite as deep but I like the star power of Luka, Simmons and an extremely underrated Lauri Markannen.
It’s absurd Simmons is allowed to play in this game, which is usually reserved for rookies and second-year players, but I won’t get into that.
Slam Dunk Contest
Miles Bridges is the move here. The rookie from the team hosting this weekend is going to show everybody just how bouncy he is.
Bridges is a vicious dunker and has some flash as well. Take a look at some of his dunks so far this season.
Joe Harris is the winner here, shooting 47% from behind the 3-point line attempting five threes per game!
Harris has become one of the best spot-up shooters in the league this season, and has energized the Nets in the absence of Caris Lavert, who is now back.
This is an opportunity for Harris to show out on a big stage, and I believe he will.
This is an easy one — the answer here is Luka Doncic.
Luka was snubbed of a reserve spot on the All-Star rosters and he knows it. I fully expect him to excel in the two events he is participating in this weekend, and Luka is skilled in all areas.
He was made for this competition.
Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis
This is really a toss-up, because It’s difficult to predict All-Star Games.
But for the purpose of this article, I’ll take Team LeBron. The real winner here is the over. 300.5 it is almost automatic.
