Chris Evans probably won’t play Tom Brady in a movie if he’s a Trump supporter

I don’t know. I really hope he’s not a Trump supporter. I’m just hoping he’s one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it. Maybe he thought it was going to be different — and even that bothers me — but maybe there’s a chance now he just thinks Trump’s an absolute dumb shit, which he is. If he doesn’t, if he’s still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It’s really tough. I think maybe a couple of years ago, I might have tried to pull some, like, mental gymnastics to compartmentalize, but I don’t know if I can anymore. So I’m just hoping he’s woken up.

That’s the answer Chris Evans gave to the Hollywood Reporter after the question was posed on if he’d be interested playing the role of Tom Brady in a movie someday.

It’s pretty pathetic of Chris Evans to base his decision on whether Tom Brady supports Trump or not, but unfortunately there’s people that think that way in this world.

Even Christian Bale, who trashed Dick Cheney in his Golden Globes speech, was willing to fill the role, (albeit in a total hit piece of a movie).

I guess my point is, I don’t understand this idea of not liking someone because of their political opinions or support for someone. I have more friends on the left than are on the right. I’ve lost respect from many after coming out as a conservative, and that’s not my problem.

I love Jay Z’s music, and he leans hard left. I love Robert De Niro as an actor, and he bashes Trump every chance he gets.

Why can’t we as conservatives, or even for those who are full-blown Trump supporters get the same respect back?

Oh, I get it. Because he’s anti-gay (though all he did was wave a rainbow flag, and is literally the most pro-LGBT Republican nominee you will ever come across). Or how he he hates black people supposedly, or how he hates women, or how he…you get the point.

My message to Chris Evans would be, you’re answering a question about playing the greatest quarterback in NFL history in a biopic, and your first thought is whether or not he truly supports Trump? That’s what your brain rushes to first?

Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, y’all.
