Kirk Cousins needs to prove he’s worth the kitchen sink.
I don’t care that he had a 70.1 completion percentage last year. The fact that the Vikings made the NFC Championship with Case Keenum at the helm, and then missed the playoffs with Cousins and virtually the same roster was not a good look whatsoever.
Leonard Fournette needs to prove he’s that dude that helped the Jaguars stop sucking.
Remember when Fournette was the next big thing coming out of college? Well, injuries, among other things have hindered this dude’s NFL career.
He seems irrelevant at this point, with a ton of other young phenoms leading the charge, leaving the 24-year-old in the dust. He desperately needs a bounce back season.
Josh Rosen needs to prove that the Cardinals were wrong about him.
Rosen had virtually zero weapons after Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona, and it got especially grim when Christian Kirk was sidelined.
Rosen is going to have options in Miami. Once he gets used to the new playbook, he needs to show why he was such an acclaimed quarterback in his draft class.
Devonta Freeman needs to prove he can stay healthy, that he’s still the player he was in ’15 and ’16.
Once a fantasy beast, injuries cost Freeman last season. Can he return to form and rack up the yards he did a few years ago?
Cam Newton needs to prove he can adapt, and that he’s willing to stop putting his body at risk (as much).
WILL ABSTAINING FROM SEX FOR A MONTH MAKE CAM NEWTON THE COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR?! FIND OUT ON THIS SEASON OF THE NFL!
Jameis Winston needs to prove that he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
Remember when this dude was dominating at FSU and was the first overall pick? He’s had weapons galore around him in Tampa, and he simply hasn’t gotten the job done.
If this stint with Bruce Arians doesn’t work out, we’ll have to officially start calling Jameis a bust.
