Bart Starr passes away at age 85

The NFL lost a legend today. Starr leaves behind a superb legacy in the league as a 5-time NFL champion, and two-time Super Bowl winner.

Starr was the quarterback of the Packers from 1956-1971, and was the league MVP in 1966.

He threw for nearly 25,000 passing yards, and more than 150 touchdowns in his career. Starr is a five-time passer rating leader in the NFL as well.

Starr is a part of the NFL 1960’s All-Decade Team, and is in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. His jersey was retired by the Packers in 1973.

Rest easy, Bart.
