WCVB – As the Bruins play for the NHL’s top prize, the city of Boston is on top of a new list ranking the best hockey cities in the country.
WalletHub, a finance site, ranked 73 U.S. cities across 21 categories and gave Boston the No. 1 spot. The rankings considered factors like stadium capacity, ticket price and team performance.
This nearly brought me to tears. Yet, it doesn’t surprise me at all.
Boston has always had the best fans in sports, so of course the Big Bad Bruins and Beantown rank #1 in hockey. It’s the fourth sport on our priority list in the city, and we are still better than everyone else.
As Dave Portnoy says, get pucks in deep and cycle it. It’s not rocket science. We’re the best fans of the game, because we understand the fundamentals.
I can only name four players on the Bruins, but that’s all I need to know.
